Seventeen years after its opening, it has stayed true to its mission, and exceeded its greatest expectations.. After an opening night performance kickoff by the great Jose Feliciano, the Ridgefield has hosted such performers as the Doobie Brothers, Greg Allman, and Brian Wilson and have treated audiences to q and a sessions with the most renowned names in the movie industry, including Tim Robbins, Ron Howard, and Harvey Keitel. Comedians such as Joan Rivers and Dana Carvey have made audience laugh from the Ridgefield stage, and children have been enjoying the Ridgefield summer camps and after school programs since the playhouse's inception.
