The Gershwin Theatre is a Broadway theatre in the midtown section of Manhattan. The theatre first opened in 1972 and was named for the Gershwin brothers Ira and George. With 1,933 seats, it has the second largest seating capacity of any Broadway theater. It boasts an Art Nouveau design and features the American Theatre Hall of Fame which is located in its lobby. It has been home to the Broadway show Wicked since 2003.
