It’s the oldest stage house in downtown Indianapolis that is still standing and the largest Shrine Temple in North America. Originally opened in 1909, the Shrine is best known to the people of Indianapolis for its theater which was built in 1910. It originally featured Broadway shows and even a speech by Winston Churchill in 1932. Today it hosts music and sporting events.
