Commodore Ballroom is a music venue and night club located in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. It originally opened in 1929 but closed from 1996-1999 and underwent renovations. It reopened as part of the House of Blues chain and has a current capacity of 995. The venue is famous for its sprung dance floor which has horsehair lining that absorbs, rather than reflects, the impact of the dancer’s feet. It was one of the first venues to feature this type or dance floor.
