The Brooks Atkinson Theatre is a Broadway theater in midtown Manhattan, New York City. The venue originally opened as the Mansfield Theatre in 1926 but was later known as CBS Studio 59 and used for CBS television productions. In 1967, it was renamed the Atkinson Theatre after New York Times theater critic Brooks Atkinson and returned to its original use. It 2000, the 1,069 seat theater went through a period of renovation and restoration and is now illuminated by the original chandelier it had over 40 years ago.
