MercyMe is one of the most celebrated contemporary Christian bands of our time, famous for their soul-stirring lyrics and worship-worthy melodies. With a career spanning nearly three decades, MercyMe’s concerts are an uplifting experience, combining worship, music, and powerful storytelling.
MercyMe was formed in 1994 in Greenville, Texas, by lead vocalist Bart Millard, guitarist Mike Scheuchzer, and keyboardist Jim Bryson. The band’s name was inspired by a remark from Millard's grandmother, who joked, "Well, mercy me, why don’t you get a real job?"
The band’s breakout moment came with their 2001 hit single "I Can Only Imagine", from the album Almost There. The song’s universal message of hope and faith propelled it to global acclaim, leading to a multi-platinum record and solidifying MercyMe’s place as a leader in the Christian music genre.
MercyMe has continued to evolve over the years, releasing chart-topping albums like Lifer (2017) and Always Only Jesus (2022). The group remains a cornerstone of contemporary Christian music, inspiring fans with every new release.
MercyMe is bringing their uplifting music to stages nationwide, and you can’t miss these relatable tracks about the power of prayer! Get your tickets now for an inspiring night of music and worship.
