The Memorial Football Stadium on the campus of the University of Illinois, in Champaign, Illinois, is a memorial to the university alumni who died in World War I. The names of the fallen are engraved on the nearly 200 pillars that surround the faced of the stadium which serves the home of the University's football team. Like the men it honors, the stadium is of the highest quality, and has been the site for some great football and other events. The 60,670 seat stadium has been the venue for the 1977 and 1979 NCAA Men's Outdoor Field and Track Championship; it hosted the first ever Farm Aid concert in 1985, and was used by the Chicago Bears in practice for Superbowl XX.
