Since its opening in 1950, the Vets has hosted a wide range of performers, including jazz great Wynton Marsalis, contemporary rocker Bryan Adams, comedy darling Amy Shumer, and tap dancing legend Savion Glover, among others. Known for its flawless acoustics, and breathtaking interior, the Vets has earned a more than well deserved place on the National Register of Historic Places. It is home to five performing arts companies, including FirstWorks, the Rhode Island Philharmonic Orchestra, The Rhode Island International Film Festival, Festival Ballet Providence, and the Art League Rhode Island and continues to serve its community providing a quality experience to its patrons.
