The Oakdale Theater is a concert venue in Wallington, CT. Originally built on an alfalfa field in 1954, the dome shaped venue featured many Broadway shows in its early years. In the 60’s and 70’s rock in roll swept the nation and the theater began featuring the top recording artists of the time. During the 80’s and 90’s the theater went through a slump and was being edged out by local competition. This caused the Theater to go through a reinvention. After some renovations, the Theater added a 4,600 capacity theater to ‘The Dome” of the Arena, which accommodated 1,649. Now the venue features family oriented shows as well as big name concert events.
