An amphitheater with a rich history and in both popular and classic culture, St Augustine Ampitheatre Is a 3,493 seat amphitheatre built in 1965 in St. Augustine, Florida to celebrate the 400th anniversary of the founding of Saint Augustine. However, after a major upgrade including a fiberglass canopy over the main stage the St. Augustine Ampitheatre has become a popular stomping ground for fans and hard edged musicians including Sammy Hagar, Slayer, and the Manchester Orchestra. Now a well known tourist attraction and music venue in the city of Augustine, the St. Augustine Ampitheater has arrived into the millennium amped up and ready to go, at the interface where the past meets the present in St. Augustine.
