The Dalhousie Arts Center is located at Dalhousie University in Halifax, Nova Scotia. It opened in 1971 and features a number of theaters, an art gallery, classrooms and a sculpture gardens. The theaters in the center include the Rebecca Cohn Auditorium, a concert hall that serves as home to the Symphony Nova Scotia (1,023 seats), the Sir James Dunn Theatre (198 seats) the David Mack Murray Studio Theatre (80 seats) and the Elsie MacAloney Room, a 90 seat lecture and recital hall. It also serves as home to Dalhousie’s Fountain School of Performing Arts.
