The JQH Arena is a basketball arena located on the campus of Missouri State University in Springfield, MO. It opened in 2008 and serves as home to the Missouri State Bears and Lady Bears basketball teams. The capacity for the venue is up to 11,000 but it can also host concerts for a capacity of 10,542. The arena is named for John Q. Hammons, a hotel developer and Missouri State alumnus who donated $30 million towards the arena’s construction. It is often referred to as “the Q”.
