Built in 1898, its stage has hosted speakers and performers such as Al Gore, Jesse Jackson, Lyle Lovett, Los Lobos, the Indigo Girls, and Ziggy Marley in it 118 years of existence. Maintaining its authentic barn like structure, with hinged doors and panels, the Chautauqua was placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1974. With at the capacity to host 1,300 guest per show, the Chautauqua manages to bring a unique blend of old world and new music together in an intimate setting.
