Discover the natural sights and scenery surrounding the Blue Ridge Parkway in Great Smoky Mountain National Park in an active way on a hiking tour with transport through the mountains from Asheville. You'll drive through some beautiful mountain scenery on the way visit three waterfalls and two protected forests . (IMPORTANT Before booking this tour please know that we will be walking approximately 3 miles on the hiking portion of this tour over 2 hours at pace of about 1 1/2 miles per hour , including stops at the falls and you should feel comfortable walking this distance before making a booking.) Snacks, beverages, and hotel pickup and drop-off by small-group vehicle (all window seats) are included. Tour is limited to seven people for a more personalized experience. Alternate tour routes are taken when the Blue Ridge Parkway is closed. Pick up time is between 8:00 am and 8:30 am at your area hotel within 4 miles of City Center.

Stop At: Blue Ridge Parkway, NC

Your tour begins with pickup from your Asheville area hotel or accommodation by an air-conditioned van, which has all captains chairs for the drive to and along the Blue Ridge Parkway when open, which is also Great Smoky Mountain National Park an American treasure well known for its scenic beauty and remarkable mountain views. Sit back , relax and enjoy this stunning drive to our first waterfall in Pisgah National Forest before traveling a short distance to visit two more falls in a beautiful state forest. Along the way you'll listen to interesting stories about the rich history of the area that has been attracting people to the area for generations from your local Asheville guide.

Wear comfortable shoes or hiking boots for the easy to moderate hiking portion of the tour. You should feel comfortable walking approximately 3.5 miles at one time during the hiking portion of the tour with stops along the way that will allow you time to enjoy falls, a snack and drink that is provided. Bring a small day pack if you have one. Safety is always a priority!

After hiking, your tour concludes with transport back to your hotel, leaving you the rest of the afternoon to enjoy at your leisure.

Keith is extremely knowledgeable about the entire area and we really enjoyed the information he shared. He has a great sense of humor and is very interested in making sure hike participants are comfortable and happy. This was a fantastic way to start our Asheville trip. We had a wonderful time on this hike!
Beautiful views, a knowledgeable and patient guide who geared the adventure around the needs of our (small) group. We left the hike with a better appreciation of the history of the forest and natural beauty of the area. Looking forward to going on more adventures with Keith and Tumblestone Tours👍🏻❗️

Blue Ridge Waterfalls hike and extensive review of the area was fantastic. Keith was so well adversed knowing the area well. Very informative and caring for his 4 passengers. Also had some snacks and adhered to social distancing, requiring masks and made sure at all times we were cared for. Picked us up on time and made sure we were back to our hotel location always making sure we were OK and did we have any additional questions.
